When a good team plays a bad team, it goes without saying that the better team is supposed to dominate the sub par one. In the past, we haven't been able to take advantage of being the better team... Last night, we did exactly what we were supposed to do. We were the better team and we performed at our level against a bad team... We a put on a offensive and defensive performance that can be somed up in one word... MIGHTY

 

Mighty Offense - Up and down the scoresheet there are little diamonds colored in and the word "rbi" penned all over it.. We hit the ball with such power and consistency that the other team had to change pitchers in the 3rd inning. If I am correct, that is the second week in a row the team changed their pitchers on us to try to quell our bats. Not happening with offensive juggernaut. Every player on the team had a hit. Craig had 5 rbi's. Jon and Flat both had 3-run Homerun's. "Since I have been playing in the cleanup spot, I have just trying to bring the runs home and do my job" said Jon Seltzer after his best offensive performance of the season.

 

Mighty Defense - Every play might have been a web gem... The defense played an astonishing game. Not one of the opposing teams baserunners touched third base. There were a couple of highlight plays that might go down as the best of the season. Focker made an astonishing catch on the run in Left field and Seltzer made a catch that surely would have gone through the gap in Centerfield. All in all, the defense played a nearly perfect game and the entire staff should be comended.

 

Mighty Mahendra - The lil Unit was on the top of his game last night. With a new battery partner, Buji pitched no-hit ball into the 4th inning. With good movement and some strong velocity, he never allowed the other team to gather momentum or stregnth. Making his first Shattered Dreams start as catcher was Brian Perles. "I just hope I could contribute to the team" said Perles before the game. His offense and juke-jiving catching performace was a welcome addition to short staffed Dreams.

 

Mighty Anna - From the shot she gave us to the beers she kept putting down, she was on top of her game last night. "I wore an especially low-cut shirt once I heard Shattered Dreams demolished those sorry suckers they played" spoke the southern fox. "Golly gee, 18-0 sure sounds like a licking." Anna, my chicky from below the Mason Dixon, IT WAS A LICKING....

 

So another triumphent notch in the belt of Shattered Dreams. The momentum is high, the funnels are flowing and the temperature is rising.... It is a real proud time to be a member of such an elite team.. SHATTERED DREAMS 4 LIFE!!!!!!
