2009: By the Numbers

The 2010 Edition is 6 months away, so now is as good a time as any to look back at 2009.
From a team perspective, it was a good year - a trip to the finals and definitely a renewed mojo.

We had a team batting average of .433 and definitely played small ball this year (only 25% of our hits this year were for extra bases). We were efficient at converting base-runners to runs, plating 50% of those who reached base.

The middle of our order was very productive and despite missing a few games due to injury, Ian put up very gaudy numbers (.568 avg, 14 runs, 14 RBIs, 3HRs, 38 total bases). Great pop from Jeff I and Jon as well (both hitting over .500, 20+ RBIs!). While Jeff also lead the team in triples, Robbie's 6 doubles were a team high. Hans ran away with Rookie of the Year (3rd on the team in average, rbi and runs and leading the team with 22 hits). Jerry owes me a double meatloaf at BJs (8-5 in walks - sorry!)
Good stuff all around.

You can find the stats for 2009, as well as the 2002 and 2003 leaders, along the right rail. Documents are shared, so be careful not to alter them.
Enjoy!
Hope to see you all soon
As always, SD4L
