step inside, walk this way

On May 24th, I wrote,
Well, I think the moral of last nights game is that
defense wins.... The team as a whole was not as strong
defensively as we could have been. Last night was our
first game against a team other the pathetic fuzzies
and I think it showed we could go head to head with
any team in this league. It showed we could beat any
team in this league.


On May 24th, we were 0-1 embarking on a 5 game losing streak. TODAY WE ARE 5-5 on a 4 game winning extravaganza beating teams with winning records and playing execellent ball... we completely turned the season around and are running full steam ahead. GOOD JOB...


Wow...... Do nights like last night really happen???? It was storybook. I will try my hardest to get through the email (kansas) talking about the game (pulled pork) and the highlights (Def Lepard) of an incredible (Mora) evening.... In short, we played great. We put runs on in the first inning (fantasy) to give Lil Unit some protection and we made the plays (you got the peaches, i got the cream) we needed to make. The other team tried to get close to us when they made the score 4-3 (Robbie hanson clap clap clap) but we didn't get nervous and we added more runs and took control of the game. We made great plays in field (love NY accents) and made great plays on offense. Some of the highlights of the game (Stick it sweet):
DEFENSE DEFENSE DEFENSE...... great plays made all around... Seltzer it the outfield, Haik at first base, Criag and Jeff on the left side of the infield. I am a huge fan of good defense. I honestly believe that us being good in the field is the key to our success. We hit better knowing we are playing the field better. It inspires us at the plate when we don't let up stupid runs... Excellent

OFFENSE OFFENSE OFFENSE........ 4 runs in the first inning really was spark that lit the fire throughout the game. All through out the batting order there were contributions. Our 3-4-5 batters hit a remarkable 8 for 11. Great job.. The bottom half also left their mark on the score sheet as well. We took pitches which all led to runs.. Good job Jerry and Haik for having the discipline to not swing at pitches out of the strikezone. Craig and Jeff had back to back homers. Britt had 3 rbi's with a solid shot in the first inning and Doug went 3-3.  What a great night.
The Lil Unit pitched another gem. Buji never got nervous when he got in trouble and always kept his composure. He is 3-0 and hungry for more.
There was a lot of talk of confidence last night. We are playing with it. When a ball is hit, we are confident the play will be made. When we come up to bat, we are confident we will produce.. When we go to Brother Jimmy's we are confident we will eat gross and have fun. Wow, what a night.... We are playing like a true inspired team.
I think we will all be in agreement when we give the game ball to...............MORA..... Thanks for the memories at Brother Jimmy's. Thanks for adding more excitement and fun to what is turning out to be an incredible season.. just kidding..... the game ball goes to Craig, Jeff and Doug for the awesome production from the 3-4-5 spot... Britt with 3 RBI's gets a piece of that as well.... what a night...
In conclusion... Every week brings something new. I think we could all write a book about this season... Last Night was a memorable night in so many ways(we want the intern). We beat a team with an impressive 5-3 record (strip show) and celebrated the night with some beers and pulled pork (Hysteria)... what a night... See ya all on Tuesday..... WOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!
