At a scheduled 9:15 press conference at Brother Jimmys this morning, flanked by the waitress in low cut T-shirts, Buji "Lil Unit" Tallapragrada announced that he will be exiting Shattered Dreams at the end of the regular season to pursue his goal of going to Business School in California. Buji has been accepted to USC Business School starting in late August. He will be moving out there in mid July and his last start is tentatively July 20th. It could quite possibly be on the 12th.

 

Asked for comments, The winningest pitcher is Shatter Dreams history said, "leaving New York isn't a difficult decision, Leaving my job is definatley not a difficult decision (The Shaft is in complete acknowledgement), but believe me, leaving Shattered Dreams, this might be the hardest decision I have ever had to make".

 

"My 3 seasons will be stored in memory forever. When people say SD4L, they really mean it."

 

One contigent plan set up (possibly) is to have longterm Shattered Dream supporter/player Brian Perles pitch in the final game and in the playoffs. Asked for his thoughts on the situation, "I could only hope to follow and keep the winning tradition Buji has layed down for the team. He will be a hard person to follow but I promice, I will not make all the teams and his hard work go for naught."

 

So thats it.... At the end of the season, we will be losing our best bat, and our best pitcher. We will always have amazing memories of Shattered Dreams, ones in  the past and the ones that are still to come. But for Buji and Craig, lets make their last memory, a Shattered Dreams championship....

 

The road to the title starts tonight.....
