Feel Great,
10 Strong.... We win games.... Now when someone misses a game coming up, lets pick it up for that person. But, we play great when we have the 10.
Last night was a great game. It had all the elements of great Shattered Dreams games we have had. Having to come from behind in the first inning, we would tie the game, then fall behind again and the take the lead only for them to come back and then we said enough.. Enough of letting them keep coming back. Again this game I thought our defense was really good. There were some plays that we struggled with but the majority were made and made well. Plus, there was a ton of effort put into every play. The effort was great on offense and defense. With that, some key highlights:
Duff - Gets the virtual gator this week. Coming off his worst start in SD history, he came up with 4 huge hits. One including the walk off game winner! Also taking a walk in the first he went a perfect 4 for 4. Solid job and welcome back!
Flat - Might have gotten the gator if he didn't over-run 3rd base when the stop sign was put on! but what a tremendous night!! Just kidding about the gator... Willy Mays Hayes Isaac was zoned in on the ball. With the exception of trying to go opposite field, he smoked the ball driving in runs, getting on base, and creating all sort of mayhem for the pitcher. Also play a solid 3rd base. Well Done!!!
Collins - This goes back to my effort comment ealier.. Diving for plays in the outfield, running around the bases and beating, I believe, 3 infield singles.... Awesome....
Really the whole team played great. Ian had a great HR, Jon continued being the anchor of our offense, Robbie just hits, Jerry is clutch, Will sets the table... Just great playing....
Perles once again was the ACE.... A little shaky at first having to get adjusted to a weird homeplate and being farther away then usual, but then settled down and kept us in the game. Also got a great Strike out.... Might have to change his name from Dr. K to Rabbi K......
We are 3 - 2 and I feel like we have some momentum from that game. That wasn't a bad team we beat.. The pitcher was shaky but I still think they were decent. We were down and came back.. Came back in a big way to mercy them...
Big Congratulations for the first mini-Shattered Dreams member... Robbie Hanson... scary that we were drinking funnels only yesterday and now Baby Pants is here.... Congratulations... We have a big game next Wednseday.... Will won't be able to make it but we'll make sure to get the win for him....
